About the course

The Diploma in Music Business Management is a one-semester course that gives you a comprehensive insight into the dynamic landscape of the music industry. Through a combination of theory and practical work, you'll develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate and create business opportunities in the industry.

With a hands-on learning-by-doing approach, you will have the opportunity to translate your knowledge into real-life scenarios through real-life projects and assignments taken directly from the music industry. During the course, you will be challenged to think strategically and innovatively about music industry business models, branding and entrepreneurship. Whether you dream of starting your own label or want to work with leading players in record labels, publishing, management or booking, this program will give you the tools you need.

The Diploma in Music Business Management is the perfect course for those who want to combine study and work while deepening their understanding of the business side of the music industry. Over 10 weeks, you'll gain knowledge in areas such as industry knowledge, entrepreneurship, law, finance, project management and marketing, with a focus on real-life business cases.     Once you have booked and paid (or chosen part payment) your course, your place is fully booked. You will receive an email with all practical information before the start of the course approx. 14 days before the start date. 

  • There are no specific requirements for previous education, and the age limit is 16 years. 

  • All of the instructors you will get to know during your training are producers/artists or other players in the music industry. In addition to your instructors having fresh experience from their own publishing companies, record labels and songwriting sessions, you will also receive several sharp leads already during the training, as well as meet a guest lecturer. This means you'll get commissions from a record label or artist, and the chance to get your songs signed and released before you've even finished your course.

  • Apart from a computer and a laptop, all you need is a good attitude!
