Which training is right for you?
1. How much time do you have to spend on your studies?
We offer a range of workshops lasting a few hours, courses lasting 3 days to a semester or full-time courses. Do you want an intensive course or to deepen your knowledge in some area? Are you able to spend a lot of your free time on assignments and homework?
On each course page you will find information on the approximate amount of time you are expected to spend studying in addition to the scheduled lessons. So it's a good idea to think carefully from the start about how much time you have to spend on your course. Remember that we all learn and absorb knowledge at different rates, so for you it may be faster or take more time than we have written on the course page. You know yourself best.

2. How do you want to organize your studies?
Here is our entire current course offerings. Most courses are in Swedish, but there are also some in English. The courses given on site take place in our premises at Fryxellsgatan 4 in Stockholm. On our distance courses, the teaching is streamed in the video tool Zoom. On our online courses, you read the entire course in our online platform at Add Wisdom.
Course format
We have several different course formats, both divided according to what is the best approach for the topic the course is about, but also to give you several different options, and have an opportunity to find the course format that suits you best!
Program - our full-time courses where you study during the day and five days a week throughout the course. Best suited for those who want to dedicate 100% of their time and go wholeheartedly into their education.
Evening courses - the class takes place one/two evenings a week for a number of consecutive weeks (exact dates are given on the respective course page).
Daytime courses - as the name suggests, they take place during the day and usually run for one full or half day a week over a number of weeks. So if you work full-time, it's a good idea to get your manager's approval to study for a period.
Intensive courses - daytime, but intensive for one, two or three consecutive full days.
Distance learning - lessons held live in the Zoom video tool, where you have a specific schedule and can interact with your teacher and fellow students just like in a physical classroom. You will also have access to video recordings of the lessons. Available in evening, daytime and intensive (details on each course page)
Online courses - you study when it suits you during the week, and all teaching takes place in a digital learning platform. This is suitable, for example, for those who may work full-time during the day and want to spend their study time during the hours of the week that suit them best.
3. What is the aim of your training?
Only you know the answer to this question. Do you want to explore a new area? Do you want to go deeper into what you already do? Do you want to advance your music-making, develop your creativity or complement your skills?
Eligibility and prerequisites differ between our different courses. This is specified on each course page. Some of our courses do not require any prior knowledge, and some require both prior knowledge and certain types of equipment to be able to take the course.
Beginners
Beginner level courses are just as they sound, courses for beginners. When we say beginners, we mean anyone who is a beginner in the subject, for example, you may be a songwriter who wants to learn to produce, and thus be a beginner in a DAW. You can also be completely new to music, as we start from scratch and make sure that everyone can keep up!
intermediate
To be able to take an intermediate level course, you should have started creating music and be familiar with one of the DAWs we teach. You should have started creating songs, and understand, among other things, how to start and save songs, basic arrangements, recording, basic workflow and mixing.
Advanced
Advanced level courses mean that you are highly skilled in music production and have been producing music for several years. Perhaps you are a professional producer, or working towards becoming one. Our advanced courses give you cutting-edge knowledge in very specific areas and are a great complement when you want to take your music-making to the next level.
4. What technical equipment do you have?
Equipment - For almost all of our music production courses, you will need your own computer with a DAW installed, and a pair of headphones. Which DAW you should have installed depends on the course you choose, and it is specified in the course description. The three DAWs we teach are Ableton Live, Logic Pro and FL Studio. Some advanced music production courses do not have specific DAW requirements, and this means that you can take the course regardless of which DAW you use.
Specific equipment - Sometimes we also require you to have more equipment depending on what we will be working on during the course. On each course page it is specified what you need, and when you have registered for the course and get information sent to you, there is also help with where you can buy or download exactly what you need.
Borrow - If you don't have your own computer or headphones, you can of course borrow from us, but you need to let us know in advance before the course starts so that we can make sure that a computer is available for you.
What is a DAW?
DAW stands for Digital Audio Workstation, and a digital audio workstation is the software that you use to create music in. We have courses in three different DAWs: Ableton Live, FL Studio and Logic Pro X.
Ableton Live
Ableton Live is a DAW that works for both Mac and PC. Ableton Live is well integrated to allow you to seamlessly use the program both in the studio and live on stage.

FL Studio
FL Studio is a DAW that works with both Mac and PC. FL Studio is a very fast-working program that is easy to get started in, and is used by many people who produce electronic music.
Version: We recommend FL Studio Producer Edition
