About the course
Sound & Music Producer Diploma is a one-semester course that takes you on a journey through the entire creative process - from idea to finished product. By keeping a good balance between theoretical and practical training, we give you a deep knowledge of modern music creation.
During this program, you will gain hands-on knowledge using our practical learning-by-doing approach, the opportunity to test your creative wings throughout the program and the chance to put your limits to the test with real-life projects and assignments directly from the music and media industry. You will also gain the skills you need to navigate your future work role, whether you want to be an independent entrepreneur or you want to build the future of the sound and music industry in the team of one of Sweden's dynamic sound and music companies.
The Sound & Music Producer Diploma course is a comprehensive course for those who want to study music production alongside their job or studies. It is designed to provide you with all the tools, knowledge and practical skills to work with music. This course is suitable for those who want to work with music at a professional level, or those who want to immerse themselves in the world of modern music making. The course covers topics such as music production, songwriting, recording, song arrangement, sound design, final mix, mastering, the music industry, public relations and much more.

Once you have booked and paid (or chosen part payment) your course, your place is fully booked. You will receive an email with all practical information before the start of the course approx. 14 days before the start date. -
To be able to apply for this course, you do not need any special prerequisites, but it is an advantage if you have previous experience in music making, as it is quite fast-paced at the beginning of the course.
There are no specific requirements for previous education, and the age limit is 16 years.

During the entire time you are enrolled at AP Academy as a student, you have the opportunity to book yourself into one of our studios and sit with us and work on your music in peace and quiet, or maybe sit together and get help from each other. NOTE; own studio time is only available to those who study the Sound & Music Producer diploma course.

All of the instructors you will get to know during your training are producers/artists or other players in the music industry. In addition to your instructors having fresh experience from their own publishing companies, record labels and songwriting sessions, you will also receive several sharp leads already during the training, as well as meet a guest lecturer. This means you'll get commissions from a record label or artist, and the chance to get your songs signed and released before you've even finished your course.

We have fully equipped studios in the school with all the music equipment you need to record, write and produce music. As a student of the Sound & Music Producer Diploma course, you have access to our student stations with midi keyboard, screen, mouse and keyboard during the lessons. If you do not have access to a computer or headphones, please let us know before the start of the course, and we will arrange a loan computer for you. Apart from a computer and headphones, all you need is a good attitude!
