  • This course provides an overview of the game industry and how game companies are structured. You will learn about different sound-related roles, both in-house and freelance, such as composer, sound designer, and audio engineer.

  • You will learn how to optimize your Windows/macOS system for audio production, utilize software and hardware efficiently, and ensure seamless communication between your DAWs, operating system, and hardware.

  • This course introduces fundamental sound design principles, including layering, ambience creation, editing, mixing, field recording, sampling, synthesis, template creation, exporting loops, ducking, and basic VO recording/mixing.

  • Building on Sound Design 1, this course covers library organization, advanced sidechaining, creative EQ techniques, textured layering, synth programming, noise utilization, FX chains, trailer sound design, and finalizing audio before implementation.

  • You will learn how to compose music for games, including loop-based vs. traditional soundtracks, major game music styles, orchestral sessions, and how to integrate music with gameplay and trailers. Additional topics include mixing, mastering, and exporting tracks for implementation.

  • This course covers essential game audio middleware, including Wwise and FMOD, as well as basic Unity integration, asset management, event-triggered sounds, scripting, source control systems, testing, VO/dialogue handling, and third-party integrations.
